After almost a decade of learning, work and personal evolution in some of the most prestigious blocks in Europe, Cristian Tudela He returned to Spain a little over a year ago. Its history is that of a passionate rider who, after forming in the Real Master of Cavalry of Ronda and consolidate under the tutelage of José Antonio García Menamade the leap to the heart of the classic European domicness. For eight years, Cristian worked in two of the temples of the continental classic dressed: Helgstrand Dressage Y Blue Hors. In addition to refineing his technique and expanding his vision as a rider, he grew on a personal level in an environment of maximum demand. “My experience has been incredible,” he confesses. “I would encourage any young rider who wants to learn and educate himself in the purest riding to leave Spain. It is an unforgettable experience, which forms you not only as a professional,” he says.
That experience has been a transformation stage. And the return to Spain has meant a recharge at an emotional level. Replace again at home, reunite with friends and family, feel the heat of your closest environment … “Being here enriches me a lot,” he acknowledges. “Having the family and friends nearby, sharing with them this type of championships is something that was very difficult for me. In addition, the weather, food, the social environment … all that is also valued,” he says.
In his new professional stage, Cristian has found stability in the The chains of the chainsthe headquarters of the recent Spanish DVENA Championship. It was there that he felt the emotion of competing before his people. “The chains is a spectacular place. There are many clues, everything is fantastic and the atmosphere of the championship has been really good. I was surprised by the level that is this year, both in riders and in horses. In the criterium, where I have competed, there were 47 horses, and the Grand Prix has been impressive,” he says. “Right now my goal is to find stability. I am very happy because the beginning has been very good, but now it is time to work to consolidate everything I am building here,” he says.
From a very young age in the teacher of Ronda and later in his stage as a rider of José Antonio García Mena he has assumed the values of his teacher: rigor, delivery, sensitivity and a deep connection with the horse. “At the beginning many people tell you that this is very difficult, that there are very few people who arrive. And it is true, but I think that with work, being serious, constant and educated can be achieved. I encourage all those who love the riding to be tried with head. If you really like it, go for it. We need people with passion for the future of this sport,” he says.
