The Atresmedia Foundation announces the finalist educational projects of the fourth edition of the Ami Mentas Awards

The Atresmedia Foundation has celebrated this Thursday the jury’s decision of the 4th edition of the AMI Minding Awards, an initiative that recognizes the commitment of teachers and educational centers throughout Spain to integrate the media, informational and digital competences in the classrooms through innovative, creative projects and with a great impact on students.

The jury, composed of representatives of the collaborating entities, Platino Educa, Unie Universidad and the La Caixa Foundation, together with the Committee of Experts of the Atresmedia Foundation, has selected the twelve finalist projects of this fourth edition among about 350 candidates sent by teachers and educational centers. Andalusia, the Community of Madrid, the Valencian Community, Castilla-La Mancha and Castilla y León have been the communities with the highest participation index.

Regarding ownership, 59% have corresponded to public centers, 28% to concerted centers and 13% to private centers. Regarding the types of candidates, individual teachers have stood out with 44%, above educational centers with 42%and teachers with 14%.

These awards reward projects developed by teachers, teaching teams and educational centers during this school year (2024-2025) in the stages of early, primary, secondary, high school, professional training in basic and medium grades, or students of second-chance schools under 18 years of age, who contribute to promoting critical thinking, responsible audiovisual creativity, the development of digital skills or the promotion of values ​​and the promotion of values Among the students.

Finalists in the category promoting values ​​and coexistence:

  • ‘Sant Antoni Picto’ presented by the CEIP Can Coix de Sant Antoni de Portmany (Balearic Islands).
  • ‘Planetarium’ presented by the CEIP covers Alabau de Alacuás (Valencia).
  • ‘Terrorism in Spain: Memory and Reconciliation’ presented by the San Ignacio de Pamplona School (Navarra).

Finalists in the Category Development of Digital Competition:

  • ‘Beyond technology: developing human digital competition’ presented by the Juan de Lanuza de Zaragoza (Zaragoza) school.
  • ‘Backpacks for a better world’ presented by Professor Elena Gozálvez Landete of the CEIP José Lloret Talens de Almansa (Albacete).
  • ‘Findings (Ai-Azgos)’ presented by the International College Sek Ciudalcampo of San Sebastián de los Reyes (Madrid).

Finalists in the category impulse of responsible audiovisual creativity:

  • ‘Normal; Life after the Dana ‘presented by the Luis Vives School (Paydo Sweden SL) of Swedish (Valencia).
  • ‘News Agency’ presented by the CEIP Príncipe Felipe de Jumilla (Murcia).
  • ‘Reel’ presented by the professor of Miguel Ángel Gómez Arqués of the IES Veleta de Otura (Granada).

Finalists in the Critical Thinking Promotion category:

  • ‘Academic debate as a tool in educational transit’ presented by the IES Alvarda of Dos Hermanas (Seville).
  • ‘Critical Science: Investigate to understand and transform’ presented by the star professor Prior Santana del IES Alba Plata de Usagre (Badajoz).
  • ‘The smile of the letters’ presented by Professor Isabel Izquierdo León del CEIP Los Olivos de la Rozas (Madrid).

The jury’s ruling was attended by Patricia Pérez, corporate general director of the Atresmedia Group and director of the Atresmedia Foundation; Susana Cat, director of Sustainability of Atresmedia and Deputy Director of the Foundation; Álvaro Alonso, strategy manager and projects of the Foundation; Second Píriz, rector of university; Octavio Dapena, director of Platino Educa; and Rocío Moreno, responsible for digital strategies of Educaixa, the educational program of the La Caixa Foundation.

The rest of the jury, composed of the members of the expert Committee of the Atresmedia Foundation, has attended by videoconference: Ignacio Aguaded, Marta Pellico, Joan Ferrés, Andrés Armas, Marta Martha R. Villabona, Julio Albalad, Ana Caballero, Rebeca Muñoz, Kepa Paul Larrañaga, Miguel Ángel Noceda, Rebeca Muñoz, Eva Herrero, Alejandro, Alejandro Per. and Alejandra Acosta.

In recognition, winning projects will be disseminated in all television channels (Antena 3, Lasexta, Nova, Neox, Mega and Atreseries), as well as on the website and social networks of the Atresmedia Foundation (Instagram, X, Facebook, LinkedIn, Threads, Tiktok) to give them visibility and that serve as inspiration to other teachers and educational centers.

The four winning projects will be unveiled live at the great event of the Atresmedia Foundation dedicated to teachers, the ‘Meets Ami’, which will be held on October 18 in Kinépolis City of the Image (Madrid), and which in its previous call exceeded 1,000 attendees and was followed by more than 9,000 people by streaming.

In this new edition, the Mentas Ami meeting will address, from a practical and reflective perspective, some of the most relevant issues for teachers with the aim of responding to the current challenges that live in the classrooms.

Attendees can enjoy presentations, debates and practical workshops of recognized experts who will talk about misinformation among young people, how to educate in attention in a world full of screens, the use (or not) of devices in the classroom, the impact that artificial intelligence in the future of students or school radio as an educational tool will have, among others. The meeting will also have an area of ​​experiences especially thought so that teachers enjoy a morning full of inspiration and learning.
